GRiZ Announces Fall 2016 Tour and Gives Back to Detroit Community!

Like Don't move Unlike

Get ready to bring out the funk because future-funk fans’ favorite saxophone-donning goofball has just announced his “Good Will Prevail” Fall Tour! GRiZ is bringing the good vibes to nearly 30 US cities this fall season with the help of his friends Haywyre, Brasstracks, Louis Futon, and All Good Records label-mates The Geek x VRV. It’ll be almost impossible to miss out on these soul-filled festivities with the tour schedule hitting main cities like Los Angeles, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, New Orleans, and so many more.

The Good Will Prevail Presale was opened up last Thursday, so you can bet we hopped on tickets real quick! Within a matter of a couple of days, presale was sold out for at least six shows on the tour, some of which being Boston, Philly, and Austin. But no fear, everything’s gonna be alright because General Onsale was announced on Monday! You can purchase tickets to a show near you, just click on the photo below.

One of the best parts about this upcoming fall tour is the generosity that GRiZ is presenting towards charity. He continuously gives back to his hometown Detroit community with his annual “12 Days of GRiZMAS” benefit, and in fact, he just recently held a pop-up show in Detroit for “GRiZMAS In July!” Well it really does feel like GRiZMAS with his benevolent plans for the Good Will Prevail Tour. As announced on the official tour website, “$1 from each ticket purchased will be donated towards [the] ongoing efforts to support music education within Detroit’s public school system.” GRiZ is teaming up again with the non-profit organization Little Kids Rock to raise money that will help provide instruments, teachers, recording spaces, and more to underserved school children in the city of Detroit. GRiZ utilizes his influence in the music community to do good by others, and that’s one of the many reasons that we respect him for the bighearted artist that he is.

There’s no doubt GRiZ is growing to be a hot commodity, especially over Summer 2016. The DJ/producer just finished up his set at Lollapalooza’s 25th Anniversary Celebration this past weekend, and has held several co-headlining spots on some of the most popular music and arts festivals in the US. We had the amazing opportunity to catch GRiZ play at both Mysteryland and Camp Bisco a few weeks ago, but to call those sets amazing would be an understatement. He and the rest of the All Good Records family had an outstanding weekend at Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, Michigan in June, maxing out the crowds wherever they played – whether it was their set times on an E Forest stage, or just marching through the Sherwood Forest for an impromptu performance.

The Good Will Prevail Tour is said to be GRiZ’s “biggest, raddest, funkiest to the max fall yet,” and I have full faith that it will live up to the hype. Unsurprisingly, the show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on October 1st was almost instantly sold out. Tickets are available for every other show on the tour, but we wouldn’t be alarmed if those went quick too! We’ve got our tickets already, do you?!

GRiZ has been teasing his upcoming album for months, and fans have been going nuts to know when it will finally be released. Well, with the announcement of this tour you can bet we’ll all be looking out for his album in the next few months. Should we assume it’ll be titled Good Will Prevail, just like the tour? Be sure to scout his Spotify, Soundcloud, and official website for the liberation of his new music in the near future. For now, check out the mesmerizing Good Will Prevail Tour video announcement, and get ready for the good times to come this fall!
